started life in 1946 as the Kasuga Radio Co Ltd in Japan and launched the first transistor amplifier (as Trio Electronics) in 1962. It entered the car audio market in 1980 and was renamed Kenwood in 1986. Since then Kenwood has been in the forefront of in-car electronics technology with a range of innovative audio and communications products.
